Innovation

The Emirates A380 shower spa service tower

The space in front of the mirrored wall is punctuated by the service tower, functioning as a clothes changing area. The two drawers provide a place for dental cleaning set, shaving set and combs. The upper storage compartment accommodates the hair dryer (1,000 W). The 15.4" LCD monitor displays tail camera output.

A heated floor panel is integrated across the entire surface of the floor. Passengers can adjust the temperature via a floor temperature selection panel in the service tower. Hot water up to 42 degrees flows for approximately 5 minutes, refreshing premium passengers. The shower cabin with integrated seat bench offers floor space of 1 m² and is separated from the rest of the bathroom via a semi-transparent door.
